People, teams and sections
Maintain memberships and a clear division of functions without requiring an elaborate structure.
The organization's people list
People are members of an organization and use their own accounts. Each membership has an access role. Changing a role affects data access, while editing a profile may affect the global account across all organizations. Read the form's scope before saving.
Inviting people, managing memberships and editing role definitions are separate permissions. Being able to add a participant to an event does not necessarily mean you can create their membership or grant editing rights.
Invite a new person
Someone with limited invitation rights can assign only permitted read-only roles. Broad editing rights and changes to members' global roles belong to the appropriate owner operations.
- Open People and the invite action.
- Enter the recipient's correct email address.
- Choose an available role and, optionally, a team assignment.
- Decide whether to send a message if the form offers that choice.
- Check the invitation status in the sent invitations list.
Optional internal teams
A team is a subgroup of an organization, not a new library copy or a separate subscription. It can have a leader, members and additional roles limited to its resources. A person can belong to more than one team.
Open the team, check the overview first, then choose editing. Archiving or deleting a team has a different meaning from deleting an organization. Read the confirmation to preserve the correct memberships and shared data.
Prepare a section and musical roles
- Open Team sections or the available organization section directory.
- Add a section with a recognizable name, such as Instruments.
- Add functional roles, such as Guitar or Piano.
- Assign people to the appropriate sections and roles; one person can have several assignments.
- Use this information when selecting the next event's lineup.
Tidying assignments
Removing a regular assignment does not automatically remove a participant from historical lineups. Deleting an entire section has broader classification consequences, described in the confirmation. Do not use it just to move someone for one event.
If the organization is small, leave people without sections and add them directly to lineups. Structure should make work easier. You do not need empty teams and roles just to let the app schedule participation.
