Preparing offline data

Download the right scope, check readiness and read data without a network.

Offline means local reading

Mobile versions supporting this feature retain selected data for reading without a connection. This is not a second server or a queue of edits to send later. Changing a program, sending a message and saving a participation response require a connection.

The first sign-in requires a network. Local access is valid for a limited time, up to seven days after the relevant successful online verification. Unlocking may require biometrics or the device passcode. A local copy alone grants no new rights in the service.

Prepare a plan before travelling

  1. While connected, open Personal settings → Offline data.
  2. Choose the categories you need: plans, people and the library.
  3. If you need PDFs, images or recordings, explicitly enable file downloads and read the limits information.
  4. Start downloading or choose Download plan offline in the event menu.
  5. Wait for completion and check data readiness and file readiness separately.
  6. Before the event, test opening the required document with the connection disabled.

Files do not download by default

Default data categories do not necessarily include attachment bytes. A visible filename does not guarantee the file can be opened without a network. This is particularly important for multipage PDFs and recordings used on stage.

Current mechanisms apply a storage limit of about 400 MiB and a per-resource limit of 50 MiB. Insufficient space or a skipped large file means readiness is incomplete. Also do not assume the system will automatically remove another complete plan to make room.

How the app behaves

An explicit Offline mode — read only banner indicates you are viewing local data. If a resource was not downloaded, the app should indicate that no copy exists. Return to an available program and retry the connection when the network is ready.

A server access denial is not an ordinary lack of network and should not be bypassed using an old copy. Signing out removes that account's local workspace. Remove from device and clearing copies do not delete organization data from the service.

Background updates have no guaranteed time

The app may download data automatically and only over Wi-Fi, according to your selected options. The system chooses background execution times, considering battery, space and app restrictions. Force-closing may suspend updates.

Before an important event, open the app and check the last completed download. Do not assume everything is current just because automation is enabled. The intended result is a verified local copy of specific materials, rather than merely a selected download preference.
